What's the difference?
Hand stitched
Sewn one stitch at a time with two needles on a single thread, the traditional saddle stitch.
- A more secure, stronger stitch than machine stitching
- Both needles go through every hole, so each stitch locks on its own
- If one stitch is ever cut, the rest of the seam holds
- Bold, slanted stitches you can see and feel
Machine stitched
Sewn on a leather sewing machine with a lock stitch, for a clean, consistent seam.
- A top and a bottom thread lock together inside the leather
- Neat, even, slanted stitches
- Quicker to make
Same leather, edges and finish either way.

All of our items are made to order by a single craftsman, and we believe quality can't be rushed. Each piece takes time to create properly, which is why we don't compromise on craftsmanship. You can check our current lead times on the home page to see exactly when your order will be ready. Once your item ships, delivery times vary by location—typically 5-7 business days within Canada and 7-16 days for cross-border or overseas orders. Delivery details will be included in your confirmation email.
Full grain leather needs very little care. Wipe it with a soft, dry cloth to clean it, and keep it away from long soaks and direct heat. Every few months, or whenever it starts to look dry, rub in a thin layer of leather balm such as Smith's Leather Balm. Small scuffs and darkening are normal and become part of the patina.
